Campus parking for Seniors will open on Monday, July 24 for senior students who have completed and returned both the BHS Parking Contract and the VDOE Contract and have paid their dues and parking fees.
Parking for Juniors will open on Monday, July 31 for junior students who have completed and returned both the BHS Parking Contract and the VDOE Contract and have paid their dues and parking fees.
Important Parking Information for 2023-2024
We will once again be assigning student drivers numbered spots in the student parking lot. The students will once again be able to pick their own spot, and that will be the spot they park in all year. Due to growing numbers of class sizes the parking will only be open to Seniors & Juniors for the 2023-2024 year.
Beginning Monday, July 17 you will be able to log into My School Bucks to pay your student fees and purchase a parking spot. You may also send a check to - BHS, 3401 Bruin Lane, Blacksburg, VA 24060 or pay in person by check or cash (exact change only) beginning Wednesday, July 19.
Directions for paying fees online through MySchoolBucks:

- VISA, MasterCard, or Discover accepted online without any additional charges
Parking fees will remain at $7. Class dues MUST also be paid so that you can reserve your parking spot. Fees for 2023-24 School Year:

SCA Sponsored Paint Your Parking Spot - $35 (this is an additional cost and all designs must be approved by administration) More information will be sent out later.
On Monday, July 24th at 8:00 AM we will send an email from Sign Up Genius ONLY to SENIORS that have paid for their parking spots and returned their signed and completed parking contracts. Those students will then be able to pick their desired parking spots. It will be open to only seniors on Monday, July 24 through Friday, July 28.
Seniors who have completed the parking contract and paid will receive a school email on Thursday, July 20 to let them know that they have everything complete and will receive the link on Monday the 24.
On Monday, July 31st at 8:00 AM we will send an email from Sign Up Genius ONLY to JUNIORS that have paid for their parking spots and returned their signed and completed parking contracts to sign up for their designated spots.
Juniors who have completed the parking contract and paid will receive a school email on Thursday, July 27 to let them know that they have everything complete and will receive the link on Monday the 31. (You do not have to have your license to purchase & pick a spot, but you will need to show your license and registration card before you can get the sticker or park in your spot).
All entries on the Sign Up Genius will be reviewed to verify that the student is in the correct grade, has purchased a spot, and has returned their completed parking contracts.
We have a total of 415 student parking spots on campus, and we sold all spots last year. (You must go through the Sign-up genius process listed above in order to hold your spot. Paying for a spot alone does not guarantee you a spot).
Once we have sold all 415 spots, students will have to make alternative options for coming to school. There will be no student parking in upper lots, except for those pre-authorized by the administration. Parking lots are checked regularly and parking in unauthorized areas can result in disciplinary action.

We would like to remind all students that anyone parking in the band parking area which includes spots: 21 - 42, 145-164, 193 - 212, 307 - 326, 355 - 374 and 375 - 395 will have to move their vehicles by 3:15 pm during the fall and these spots CANNOT be purchased for painting.

*Students must submit or show proof of license and registration required for the VDOE parking contract before they can get their sticker or park in their designated spot.
In addition, we are pleased to announce that any spot (other than the band practice area - see numbers above) can be purchased by Seniors & Juniors, and at an additional cost of $35, can be painted. All proceeds from the Paint Your Parking Spot go to Blacksburg High SCA (Student Council Association) to help with the over 600 Thanksgiving baskets they put together for needy families every year.
If your Senior or Junior would like to participate in the SCA-sponsored Paint Your Parking Spot, there will be an additional cost of $35 in addition to their class dues and a $7.00 parking fee. Information on Paint Your Space rules and applications will be emailed at a later date.
